Dark chocolate inhibits inflammation and is good for memory

American researchers have been able to use a study to demonstrate how the benefits of dark chocolate are beneficial to their health.

The cocoa content is crucial

As part of the study, volunteers were given dark chocolate in 48-gram portions, which is about half a plate and 240 calories. Then, after half an hour and once again after 120 minutes, changes in the brain frequency were measured. It showed that the brain performance improved significantly by the consumption of chocolate. In addition, the release of T cells was activated, which are responsible for the immune defense.

Cocoa is a rich source of flavonoids. These are valuable antioxidants that trap free radicals in the body and thereby support the health of the brain and cardiovascular system. To support the current results, further studies are already planned.
