An unnamed source close to Samsung has announced some features and when to introduce the foldable Samsung smartphone, which is expected to carry the Galaxy X name.
According to an unnamed source in the Wall Street Journal, Samsung’s foldable smartphone will have the code name ‘winner’ (the winner). When folded, the camera will remain inside and a small screen will be available on the front side while the device is folded.
According to the source, the name of the device is very likely to be ‘Galaxy X’. As with the case, the device will have a 7-inch screen when turned on. But when the screen folds the device is similar in size to a 4.5-5 inch device.
Samsung is in competition with other big smartphone makers, especially Huawei, about the foldable smartphone. According to the source, the South Korean technology giant will present the first foldable smartphone model to consumers at the beginning of 2019.
To be honest, a foldable smartphone like the one pictured above will not cause a great excitement to consumers. Because the overall design and use of the device is much like ZTE’s Axon M model. The foldable smartphone model that consumers expect from Samsung needs to be much more innovative.
