Intel’s 9th generation processor line will be introduced on October 1st. For processors with a 10nm production process, the date shown is 2019.
Intel’s 9th generation processors will be introduced next October. According to leaked information, the company’s 10nm Cannon Lake series of processors have been postponed to 2019. The update to be made in October of this year will present minor improvements in the existing 14nm production technology. These small improvements will drive the 9th generation Intel processors to market; will initially have i9, i7 and i5 models.
Core i9-9900K, which we can characterize as the flagship of Intel’s 9th generation CPU series, will have 8 cores and 16 processors. According to leaked information, the top-of-the-line processor will come with a 16 MB L3 cache and Intel’s UHD 620 graphics processor. In addition, Intel’s 9th generation Core i7 processor will come with 8 cores and 8 workpieces. The current i7 models have 6 cores. The 9th generation Core i5 processor will have 6 cores and 6 processors.
