The flagship Redmi K20 Pro has started the day before and the phone has added impressive performance under its belt. Smartphones have been added to the Android Q beta testing program. Android Q beta can now be downloaded for mobile phones, but is only compatible with the Chinese version of the Redmi K20 Pro. As a beta, there are many bugs that accompany it, but fortunately, Xiaomi allows users to stop testing and return to the stable Android-based MIUI 10 through Fastboot.
When Google announced that the phone was approved for Android Q Beta 3 in I / O 2019, there were only two Xiaomi Mi 9 phones and Mi Mix 3 5G. A post on the Mi Global website states that the Redmi K20 Pro is the third Xiaomi mobile phone included in the Android Q beta testing program. The name Redmi K20 Pro, however, is not yet included in the official Google mobile list available for Android Q Beta.
Redmi K20 Pro users can register for Android Q beta testing via the Fastboot update channel and then download the MIUI ROM flashing tool. The Fastboot route also allows users to exit Android Q Beta. As for the Android Q beta version of the Redmi K20 Pro, it is only available for Chinese flagship versions and 2.1 GB.
However, as a beta version, Xiaomi warns that beta testers might encounter many errors. For example, the fingerprint sensor will not work with the Redmi K20 Pro running an existing version of Android Q beta, and users will also experience Bluetooth connectivity problems and application crashes.
