Released under the roof of Xiaomi smart bracelet Hey Plus 1S, the new version Hey Plus 1S, AMOLED panel and 120 mAh battery in China was pre-sold. Hey Plus 1S comes with some design and hardware changes compared to the old model.
In August 2018, Xiaomi launched Hey Plus through the YouPin platform. The smart bracelet came out a few times after Xiaomi’s Mi Band 3 and was considered a higher version with a larger display and more powerful NFC function. The Chinese technology giant is now offering a new version of the product called Hey Plus 1S.
The new product, pre-sold in Jingdong, a Beijing-based e-commerce platform, has a $ 25 price tag. One interesting feature is that it is cheaper than the model with a $ 34 price tag last year.
Hey Plus 1S comes with a rectangular display, while the previous model has a more elliptical shape. Featuring a 0.95-inch AMOLED panel, the display offers 24-bit true-color support. The screen is resistant to water and scratches and is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. Hey Plus 1S can withstand water pressure of up to 50 ATMs.
NFC, which was quite successful in last year’s model, is among the features this year. It offers multifunctional NFC chip, bus card and contactless payment support. NFC also makes the smart wristband work as a virtual key for smart door locks. As with many other smart wristbands, the Hey Plus 1S features sleep tracking, call notifications, and message alerts.
With a 120 mAh battery, the device can operate in standby mode for 18 days. The device also has its own HeyOS operating system.
